Since a 2024 law, the national festival of traditional religions falls on the second Friday of January; the Thursday before is also a public holiday. In 2027, that Friday is 8 January.
In Ouidah, the festival comes with Vodun Days, first held on 9 and 10 January 2024. The exact dates of each edition are published on the official Vodun Days website.
